Hi George – even if you leave real estate as a profession, your license will still be active so you can collect the referral fee. Hope this helps!

Yes, Agent A should request a closing statement to verify the completed transaction and commission amount.

They can – if you stipulate the expiration period within your referral agreement, that will help to keep it valid.

Does the referring agent continue to get a 25% referral fee on all sales/purchases as long as the client does future business with the agent they referred them to?

Say a buyer is seeking a morgage approval and the salesperson recommends a broker. Can the buyer client edit the Referal Fees clause in the buyer client aggreement to state that the referal fee wil be split 50/50 between the Buyer client and the Brokerage?

Extra bonus: This is pertaining to a purchase of real estate in Ontario, Canada, but I would assume your answer and this practice will be uniform in most markets.

Me as a real estate agent brings the apartment complex a renter to that listing agent of that apartment complex. We will say they do offer a finders fee, a flat fee, or percentage fee does that listing agent and the refferal agent sign a referral contract? Or how would that work?
